programs:ada’s place transitional housing

Ada’s Place: Transitional Housing Program (TH) is an 18-month independent living program for homeless women and their children. TH is committed to supporting homeless women and their children as they work towards self-sufficiency and independence. TH offers women the opportunity to gain knowledge, education, and skills in a variety of areas, while working on goals that will assist them in obtaining permanent housing and achieving economic security.

The TH program provides housing on a sliding fee scale, monthly support service funds, life skills instruction, and case management. The TH units include five 2-bedroom apartments and six 2-bedroom duplex units.

During the 2004 fiscal year, TH provided services to 22 women and 45 children.

If you are interested in the TH Program please fill out a Program Eligibility Survey, which is available at the YWCA. For additional information please contact the Transitional Housing Program Coordinator at 543-6691, or e-mail pmurphy@ywcaofmissoula.org
