The YWCA and its clients have many needs, many of which are met through the material donations of generous individuals in our community. The in-kind gifts we receive help us provide the essentials to our clients - a solid base from which they embark on the road to self-sufficiency.
Gift Certificates
Gift certificates for food, clothing and other essential items are always gladly accepted at the YWCA. They allow us to meet our client’s needs in very practical, meaningful ways. If you have questions or would like more information, please call 406-543-6691.
Food and Toiletries
Donations of food and toiletries may be dropped off Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at the YWCA at 1130 W. Broadway, Missoula.
If you have questions or would like more information, please call 406-543-6691, extension 104.
Matching Gifts
You can double or even triple your gift to the YWCA with a matching gift from your employer. To find out if you are eligible, contact your employer’s personnel department.
They will provide you with a simple form to complete and mail to the YWCA. We’ll take care of the rest. Please mail completed matching gift forms to YWCA Missoula, 1130 W. Broadway, Missoula, MT 59802.
Car Donation
Many of our program participants have significant transportation needs, needs that may be met with a donated vehicle. Transportation can be one of the biggest barriers to women trying to start their life over. The YWCA gives donated cars directly to program participants, so the vehicles must be in good running condition. Program participants generally have very little money for repairs and the YWCA does not have funding to help them. Since the vehicles are given to the YWCA participants and not sold by the organization, the donor can claim the car’s fair market value on their income taxes. The car donation program is yet another way that members of the community can reach out to help families in crisis, and help the YWCA to support those families.
If you are interested in donating a vehicle, or would like more information, please contact Julie Maturen, Office and Events Manager, at 543.6691.
