Homeless Services

Ada’s Place Transitional Housing is an 18-month program designed to help homeless women and their children work toward self-sufficiency and independence. Ada’s Place offers women the opportunity to gain knowledge, education, and skills in a variety of areas, while working on goals that will assist them in obtaining permanent housing and achieving economic security.

Ada's Place Emergency Housing offers 45-day emergency housing for homeless families and individuals who are committed to finding permanent, stable housing.

Gateway Center (located at Salvation Army, 239 W. Broadway) is a short term assessment, referral, and supportive services program located at the Salvation Army (239 W. Broadway). Program offers YWCA case management, as well as help with prescription costs, eye exams, transportation, and short term motel stays for homeless individuals and families who are not living in emergency housing facilities.

Domestic Violence

The Pathways program offers safe shelter, crisis counseling and support for survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Services include the 24-hour crisis line; emergency women and children's shelter; walk-in peer counseling; support groups; in-house licensed therapist; referrals to community resources; and legal, personal and medical advocacy. Sexual Violence

After being raped or assaulted, navigating through the medical, legal and emotional aftermath can feel overwhelming, YWCA Missoula is committed to providing a safe place to think through those first steps to the healing process and find support. Surviving a sexual assault is not easy, but with the YWCA’s non-judgmental advocacy, survivors can begin to heal. Read More

Support Groups

Are you recovering from an abusive relationship, or questioning whether your relationship is healthy? Check out our Support Groups every Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. at the YWCA, 1130 W. Broadway. Dinner provided the first and third Tuesdays of each month. Age appropriate children's groups available, as well as a Native women-led talking circle.
