Volunteers, Girls Wanted for GUTS! Summer Adventures

YWCA Missoula’s GUTS! (Girls Using Their Strengths) program will offer five week-long summer outdoor wilderness adventures for girls ages 11 to 18 starting in late June. Registration ends May 24, and applications are online at www.ywcaofmissoula.org. The suggested donation is $350, but scholarships are available and no girl is turned away because of her family’s inability to pay.

The girls’ leadership project of YWCA Missoula, GUTS! grows the next generation of women leaders by helping girls develop self-confidence and leadership skills in a friendly, affirming environment. This year, girls from all around Montana and beyond will once again join qualified women instructors to enjoy the high mountain peaks, sparkling lakes and rushing rivers of the Montana backcountry.

Awareness Tour

Each month, YWCA invites the community to learn more about the women and children whose lives are changed because of our services through an hour-long "ywconnects" tour. We spotlight real stories, stories we are privileged to hear every day, from our work to empower women and eliminate racism in Missoula. We also want to hear from you on how we can better serve the needs of the community. Click here to sign up.
